Empowered girls become empowered women.

Women's Day is a reminder of the courage and collective action of the 20 000 women who marched to the Union Building in 1956 in protest of unjust laws.

We honour this legacy by continuing to champion dignity, equality, and opportunity for all women and girls.

What started as an idea in one of our Social Justice classrooms has grown into a movement. Through friendly rivalry, St Cyprian's and Bishops Diocesan College unite to tackle period poverty at our annual Blues Bash.

This advocacy from our girls was inspired by the legacy of Lillian Ngoyi, Rahima Moosa, Helen Joseph and Sophia Williams who led more than 20 000 women to the Union Buildings in protest of pass laws on 9 August 1956.

Now this is sporting with purpose.

Our students are empowering women. PERIOD.

We previously shared the wonderful news of Beth Kirk being crowned South Africa's Best Grade 6 Reader out of 12 000 learners who took part in the Reading Riot national competition.

Beth was honoured during assembly, with her teacher, Kari Trollip accepting delivery of her brand-new BAIC X55 she won in recognition of the vital role educators play in nurturing a lifelong love of reading.

We are so proud of both Beth and Kari for this incredible achievement.

To be supported is to be loved, and we definitely felt the love these past two days.

Thank you to everyone who supported our inaugural Giving Day, accepted a call, referred supporters, and shared our cause. The generosity and support have been truly unbelievable. We are so grateful for this community!

We may have been sleeping, but our campaign was still very much awake as we hit an amazing milestone, reaching more than 90% of our goal.

This wouldn't have been possible without every single person who chose to give, share, and stand with us.

This is what community looks like.
With just a few hours to go, you can still make your contribution.

Day 2 let's go! 💙💥💫

Giving Day is live!

As we launch today, we are reminded of what makes St Cyprian's so extraordinary: our girls.

Principal Shelley Frayne invites you to invest in the future of the education of girls. Whether you make a gift, answer a call, share the campaign with family and friends, or help spread the word, your participation matters.

Our students dream not only for themselves, but for the girls who will one day walk these halls after them.

This Giving Day, our Head Girl reflects on the community that has shaped her journey. Today, we invite you to help ensure future generations of St Cyprian's girls have every opportunity to learn, grow and thrive in a community that believes in them.

One community. One purpose. Giving day is live!

Will you answer the call this Giving Day?

For so many girls, St Cyprian's becomes more than a school. It becomes a second home, where lifelong friendships begin; confidence takes root and young women discover who they are and what they stand for.

With just a few hours until the first Giving Day calls, one of our Deputy Head Girl's celebrates a community that nurtures, challenges, encourages, inspires and believes in every girl's potential. Because every future leader starts somewhere, often with a voice encouraged and a community standing behind her.

One community. One purpose. A few hours to go.

Will you answer the call this Giving Day?
