The Amathole East Xhorha Community of Practice, together with Layita Foundation ECD practitioners and caregivers, continues to make a meaningful impact where it matters most.
By reaching deep into rural communities, these dedicated champions are creating spaces for dialogue, learning, and collaboration that support children’s development. Through storytelling, reading, play, and song at home and in early learning centres, they are helping to build strong foundations for literacy and lifelong learning.
Well done to everyone involved in this important work. Every conversation, every story, and every song helps unlock a child’s potential.

What’s a quote, saying, or piece of advice from your father or a father figure that has stayed with you?
Share it in the comments and let’s honour the words that help shape our stories.
