Congratulations to Mustapha Cassiem who today earns his 50th outdoor test cap for South Africa. What a journey its been so far for the FIH Young Player of the World Cup in 2023.

A group from the 1999 Grade 7 class came to visit the Prep last Friday. It was a very special occasion as a number of their teachers were also able to be present.

Brilliant win for our hockey boys!

Bishops 1st XI faced Paarl Boys in a Friday night lights hockey match, with numerous off-field activities early on.

The hosts donned yellow and blue socks in support of Cancer awareness. Initially, both teams wore their traditional kits—Paarl in blue and white, and Bishops in blue and dark blue—but a colour clash led to the umpires asking Bishops to put bibs on about eight minutes into the game.

Despite early pressure from Bishops, they couldn't capitalize on their chances.

However, a productive quarter-time chat seemed to reset the team’s momentum, as Bishops took a 1-0 lead in the second quarter.

In the third stanza, Bishops intensified their attacks, increasing their lead to 3-0.

As the game progressed, Bishops solidified their dominance, securing a handsome victory.
