17/05/2025

The PGHSSC is collaborating with uct-fhs international students in celebrating Africa Day.

The 2025 Africa Day theme is, “Year of Reparations: Justice for Africans & People of African Descent through Reparations,” which calls on us to reflect deeply on the histories of colonialism, enslavement, and systemic injustice. Through this event, we aim to honour African identities, resist cultural erasure, and affirm the significance of African healing, heritage, and justice by reclaiming space and narrative through cultural games, dress, dialogue, and shared knowledge.

Africa Day Celebration Programme:
Date: Saturday, 24 May 2025
Venue 1: Company’s Garden – African Indigenous Games and Lunch
Venue 2: Iziko Slave Lodge Museum- Cultural engagement
