In 2011 Thomas Mclennan and Alex de Jager established an independent debate-coaching institution called Debate Institute South Africa (DISA).
This institution is entirely privately run and independent of the official South African debating structures. An organization which provides a wide range of speakers from across the country and at different levels of experience the opportunity to receive the highest quality coaching as well as access to top level debating on the international stage.

DISA is in the finals for Bratislava Schools Debating Championship, holding thumbs for the speakers going up against ACJC from Singapore!
