Over the years of working many long and hard hours as chef I’ve learnt how important it is to take care of my immune system. No miracle method , but just simple daily habits like getting enough sleep, managing stress, eating nutritious food, regular exercise and staying well hydrated. For me drinking electrolysed water is an important part of staying hydrated and feeling my best.
Our immune system isn’t something we think about until we are sick, that why small choices repeated consistently can make a big difference over time❤️

Something that’s in my thoughts is that every pet, person we love will one day disappear from this world. Not in a way that makes me fearful or sad, but in a way that reminds me to be present and appreciate the ordinary moments, like the walks , the laughter , the company and the love.
Nothing lasts forever, maybe that’s what makes it more meaningful.
So instead of living in fear of loss, I try to love deeply, be grateful and enjoy the people and the animals that surround me why we still here❤️

One valuable lesson I’ve learnt as a chef is the ability to stay fully focused on the task in front of me while minimising mental distractions.
When we become completely immersed in something we truly enjoy,it can create a deep sense of pleasure, creativity and fulfilment.
Over the years I’ve realised that this doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from being present, free from distractions, knowing what needs to be done, understanding how to it well and constantly challenging yourself to grow your skills
In the kitchen,I learned that focus and discipline can transform pressure into creativity.
Now I’m applying those same lessons to building a healthy life with more purpose and fulfilment, a life I really want😄🙏

Winter arrived early in the Cape …. The air is colder , the ocean is louder and mountains become invisible…
But life doesn’t stop..
Still walking the dogs..
Still swimming in the mornings…
Still cooking, caring and showing up..
The seasons change but commitment to your health , your loved ones and your responsibilities is what keeps you grounded.
There’s something about this time of year, less noise, less rush, just you and what really matters❤️

Familiarity make you forget …. Gratitude brings it back😍

Today I spent hours in a hospital waiting room with my Mom.

No signal on my phone. Nothing to do just waiting.

What a waste of time and I was starting to get a bit twitchy……

Sitting there, watching people come and go you start thinking….. So many people are here because their health reached a point that they had no choice but to be here.

It reminded me again why I decided to take my health more seriously.

Health shouldn’t be something you start worrying about when you sitting in a hospital waiting room. It’s something to invest in before that moment arrives.

The small daily decisions we make about what we eat, drink and live shape our future.

Today was a powerful reminder that your health is either your greatest investment or your greatest expense later. It really is waste of time to be sick😍

Caring for my mom with dementia changed everything. It showed how important real healthcare is as we get older.
That’s why I’ve decided to build something that focuses on true health, peace of mind and financial abundance.
I have a lot to learn but after what I’ve experienced I need to embark on this journey❤️

As I grow older and care for my aging mother, I’m reminded how precious our health truly is. It’s made me grateful that I chose to invest in my well being when I did. Now I’m already feeling the rewards- more energy, more clarity and more appreciation for life❤️😄

Been under kitchen arrest for the last few weeks. I do feel blessed to have so many options available to escape the crowds and the seasonal madness . I do enjoy being a private chef even though it can completely consume you in every way . It’s all about working cleverly and not working hard. Taking care of your health through proper hydration is crucial when working long days as you get older.
