Female participation in SA ICT labour force shows progress While more must still be done to increase the number of women working in ICT, the African female demographic slowly inches closer to that of white males.

The Spring General Institutional Meeting is coming up on 30-31 October 2024. This year, the University of the Western Cape is hosting us. This important meeting gathers CIOs, IT directors from 26 public universities in South Africa, and leading higher education IT professionals to discuss and engage on matters pertaining to IT in higher education.

HEITSA has undertaken the task of assisting universities in rejuvenating their ERP solutions and has provided a two-day hybrid workshop that brings in vendors operating in the higher education sector. Day 1 is currently underway at the UCT Graduate Business School in Cape Town, where universities will share their ERP migration journeys.

Our next event is in October: The Spring General Institutional Meeting (SGIM), which brings together CIOs, IT directors, and key higher education IT personnel. The meeting will centre on the theme "Innovate, Empower, Evolve." More details will follow soon.

We offer free skills development training and special interest group meetings where you can connect with like-minded colleagues.
