We are thrilled to announce that Zayaan Abdurahman, a grade 11 student at Mondale High School has been selected by ZASDC (South African Space Design Competition), to participate in a prestigious educational trip to NASA, Florida. 🇺🇸

ZASDC (South African Space Design Competition) recognized Zayaan's leadership, academic prowess and organizational skills when she was part of a 'Space Design Competition' which took place at U.C.T on the 30th and 31st March 2026. Zayaan and a group of students were required to create a settlement on the moon for approximately 600 people. Once again Zayaan's leadership skills came to the fore.

Zayaan will leave for her trip to NASA, Florida on the 26th July 2026. Zayaan's mom, Nabeelah Abdurahman has also initiated a 'Back a buddy' system to raise funds for general expenses.

We are incredibly proud of Zayaan. We look forward to hearing about the visit to NASA when Zayaan returns to South Africa. 🇿🇦

On Wednesday afternoon, 6 May 2026, we had a tough start to our Motsepe campaign, going down 4–2 to a spirited Oval North side. Despite the result, the boys showed great character to fight back and score two excellent goals.
