The Shuttleworth Lab

The Shuttleworth Lab Former open source computer laboratory at the University of Cape Town

The only place on campus where you can use Linux, share on DC, eat lunch, play Teeworlds, and get into debates about whether Freddie is going to hell - all at the same time!

The new academic year is starting! Remember to tell your friends about TSL and get them to like this page.

Does anyone want to design TSL a shiny new website?

15/02/2012

The new PCs will be imaged with a proper OS soon. You can all stop worrying. Also anyone caught unplugging ANY of my hardware will be STABBED IN THE FACE, so please bring your own ethernet cables.

Aaaand here comes O-Week again. This is going to be a good year for TSL. Some Old familiar faces will be gone, but fresh ones will take their places.

How does the idea of an Open Arena tournament around O-Week sound? We could maybe even negotiate prizes.

So many boxes, and such cables aplenty!(not a bad problem to have if you ask me)

So much delicious new hardware...

30/11/2011

I've been idly wondering. Precisely how blatantly obvious is it who runs this page?

22/11/2011

Funds have cleared for TSL and that upgrade is on its way! Unfortunately there's not too much allocated for servers.

15/11/2011

TSL should be getting its much-needed upgrade these holidays.

24/10/2011

Gaining about 3 likes an hour. At this rate, in just over a year all of UCT will be squashed into TSL!

Incidentally, does anyone happen to have nice picture of TSL? Or perhaps a decent camera with which to take one?
