This year, to understand the needs and challenges mothers have been facing since October 7th, we conducted a survey in collaboration with the Roshnick Research Institute.
The findings are alarming, revealing the heavy toll of the war on mothers. But as always, when there is a need – WIZO steps up.
With mental and emotional support, treatments, workshops, and more – and this is just the
beginning.
Join us in our efforts to support the heroes of the home front!

Tal Shoham, Omer Shem Tov, Omer Wenkert, and Eliya Cohen returned to Israel after 505 days, while Avera Mengistu and Hisham Al-Sayed were freed after being held by Hamas since 2014 and 2015, respectively.
Meanwhile, across Israel, families and supporters anxiously gathered, awaiting their loved ones' return.

A Shabbat of Remembrance and Strength.
As we enter Shabbat, our hearts are heavy.
WIZO Cape Town honours the memories of Oded, Kfir, and Ariel Bibas and stands in deep concern for their courageous mother, Shiri Bibas. After a difficult identification process, her fate remains uncertain, and we hold onto hope for her safe return.
Am Yisrael Chai! Shabbat Shalom. 🇮🇱

Today, we celebrate the love and unwavering commitment of our WIZO members, family and friends—including our Christian supporters who stand outside Parliament every Friday in solidarity with Israel. Your dedication fuels our mission, allowing us to support our beneficiaries in Israel through these challenging and traumatic times.
Love is more than a feeling—it’s action, resilience and standing together for those who need us most. Thank you for sharing your heart with Israel and WIZO Cape Town. Bring them home now!

Happy Tu BiShvat to All WIZO Women Around the World! 🌿🌸
Tu BiShvat, the Jewish New Year for Trees, marks the awakening of nature in Israel, as trees begin to bloom after the winter. It is a time to appreciate the environment, plant trees, and enjoy the fruits of the land.
Much like the trees we celebrate, WIZO women around the world plant seeds of change, nurture communities, and help them grow stronger every day. The dedication of WIZO women continues to flourish, making a difference in the lives of so many.
Wishing you all a joyful and meaningful Tu BiShvat! May we continue to grow and thrive together.

They survived 491 days of Hamas terrorist captivity in Gaza. Ohad, Or, and Eli appear extremely thin, pale, and frail. Their appearance is a direct testament to the horrific and inhumane conditions that Hamas terrorists hold the hostages in. All remaining 76 hostages, must be released NOW! 🎗️

Israel, you are not alone. Our hearts are with you, our prayers are unceasing and our hope remains strong. We continue to pray for the safe return of every hostage. Shabbat Shalom 🇮🇱

Yesterday at the President’s Residence, WIZO added another medal to its trophy cabinet: a certificate of appreciation from the Ministry for Social Equality and the Advancement of Women, in recognition of our efforts in combating violence against women.
The honour was awarded to WIZO’s shelter for women affected by violence in the southern region, and the dedicated and outstanding team responsible for this achievement, especially in a year of such a difficult war there - proudly arrived to receive the award.
