On 23 June, our talented young netball players will be shadowing the team at Melkbos Silverbay Spur as part of a special fundraising initiative to help them represent Van Riebeeckstrand Primary at Top Schools SA.

By simply booking a table and enjoying a meal, you will be contributing towards their journey and helping them create unforgettable opportunities through sport.

Our VRS U/12A Netball Girls have qualified to represent our school at the Top Schools South Africa Championships, and we couldn't be prouder of this achievement.

"EGG DROP CHALLENGE" – TEGNOLOGIE IN AKSIE!

Ons Graad 7-leerders het onlangs op 'n prettige en praktiese manier geleer oor strukture in hul Tegnologieklasse deur die bekende "Egg Drop Challenge" aan te pak!

Die uitdaging? Om 'n struktuur te ontwerp en te bou wat 'n eier teen die impak van 'n hoë val kan beskerm.

From creative designs to innovative problem-solving, our Riebies demonstrated imagination, perseverance and critical thinking every step of the way.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, determination and creativity shown by our learners throughout this challenge.

SPELLING BEE ACHIEVEMENTS

For the past three weeks, our Riebies have been buzzing with excitement as they proudly participated in our Spelling Bee Competition – and what an incredible display of dedication, perseverance and talent it has been!

On Monday, 8 June, certificates were awarded to learners who achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, celebrating their hard work, commitment and outstanding spelling abilities.

A special congratulations goes to our 1st Place winners, who each received a R150 Exclusive Books voucher as a reward for their achievement and to encourage a lifelong love of reading, learning and discovering new worlds through books.

We are immensely proud of every learner who took part in this competition. Whether you stood on the podium or challenged yourself to participate, you represented VRS with confidence, courage and determination.

Your willingness to learn, grow and strive for excellence inspires us all.

GYMNASTICS ACHIEVEMENT

Hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice have paid off for Morgan Thomas.

On 23 May, Morgan participated in the Gymnastics District Trials, where she delivered an outstanding performance and was awarded a gold medal. As a result of her excellent achievement, she has been selected to represent Cape Town Gymnastics.

This is a remarkable accomplishment and a reflection of the commitment and determination she brings to her sport. We are incredibly proud of Morgan and look forward to seeing all that she achieves in this exciting next chapter.

Well done, Morgan, and best of luck as you represent Cape Town Gymnastics.

JIU JITSU-PRESTASIE

Baie geluk aan Wessel Vos met sy uitstekende prestasie by die AJP (Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro) kompetisie.

Wessel het 'n silwermedalje in sy kategorie verower en daarmee sy harde werk, deursettingsvermoë en toewyding aan die sport ten toon gestel.

Ons is baie trots op jou prestasie, Wessel, en wens jou alle sterkte toe met jou toekomstige kompetisies.
