The Good Hope Toastmasters Club hosted the Area Director, Wayne Robinson. Thank you, Wayne, for your proactive leadership, and congratulations on winning the Best Speaker Award for the evening.

Toastmasters not only gives you the opportunity to grow as a speaker, but you can also gain leadership skills by taking on a role during meetings or joining the executive committee. Our area director is a great example of how one can grow from member to area director!

🎉 Oh, what a night! The Good Hope Toastmasters Club hosted a fantastic meeting on 12 August 2026! 🎉

Two wonderfully entertaining prepared speeches were delivered. Sharon, with her speech “Is Adulting a Scam?”, had the audience intrigued and entertained with her well-structured talk on the ups and downs of adulting and how perception is often far removed from reality.
Wayne, with his speech “The Mirror at the Funeral,” delivered a gripping speech that prompted the audience to reflect on how they can live more intentionally. This was a great example of how to effectively use body language and vocal variety to enhance speech delivery.

The Table Topics session brought much excitement to the evening, as usual!
All topics were aligned with our theme, and members and guests stepped up to the plate and delivered their impromptu speeches in their own unique tones.

Our evaluators did a stellar job sharing their observations and offering valuable suggestions for improvement.

Congratulations to our winners for the evening:
🏆 Best Speaker: Wayne Robinson
🏆 Best Table Topic: Emmanuel Boakye
🏆 Best Evaluator: Nadine Butler

Well done to all! I look forward to seeing how we all become diamonds under pressure!
