College of Cape Town Students Shine at the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Competition!

Our talented students recently travelled to Upington, Northern Cape, to represent the College of Cape Town at the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Competition Regional Round, hosted at Northern Cape Urban College.

We are incredibly proud of our students for stepping forward, sharing their innovative business ideas, and demonstrating confidence, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

A special congratulations to our representatives:
Luniko Selana – 3rd Position Winner in the Tech Business Idea Category
Tshedza Blessing Makhado – General Business Idea, Crawford Campus
Mayon Wayne Bock – Innovative Business Idea, Wynberg Skills Centre
Mihlali Charlie – General Business Idea, Wynberg Skills Centre
Siyamthanda Maqhubela - Innovative Business Idea - Pinelands Campus

One of our students, Ms. Maqhubela presented her innovative business idea, β€œShield Her”, an initiative aimed at addressing the pressing challenge of gender-based violence (GBV) in our country.

We firmly believe that Shield Her has the potential to make a meaningful contribution towards addressing the epidemic of gender-based violence. We commend Ms. Maqhubela for her courage, creativity, and commitment to developing a solution to such an important societal challenge.

We are very pleased with our students and appreciate them for their remarkable presentations. We wish them every success as they work towards turning their business ideas into reality.

We also encourage more of our students to enter the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Competition next year. Your idea could be the next big thing!
