Starting in Muizenberg and ending in Simon's Town, participants take on a 12 km walk or run along one of Cape Town's most beautiful routes. πβοΈ

As part of their Chemistry Main Lesson, the Class 7 students built a fire and carefully observed how different materials responded to heat and flame. Dry leaves, wet leaves, sticks, orange peel, lavender, figs, and other natural materials were added to the fire, with students noting the differences in burning time, smoke, scent, and behaviour. πͺ΅πΏ
Through close observation and comparison, the students experienced first hand how different substances change and transform when exposed to fire, deepening their understanding of the natural world. π₯ππ§ͺ

The Dads, Dudes & Kids Camp returned at the start of the holidays, bringing with it a weekend of adventure, connection, and shared experience πΏπ₯
This annual tradition is organised by a group of fathers and guardians for children in Classes 1 to 7. While not an official school event, it has been part of our community for over 20 years, creating a space for meaningful time together in nature.
From boating and ziplining to moments around the fire, it continues to build lasting memories for both children and their fathers. More than just a camp, it is a space where bonds are strengthened and friendships grow.
βEvery year I return over the moon that this camp exists.β

To celebrate World Book Day, many of our Primary School students dressed up as their favourite book characters. The school was filled with witches and wizards, young Hogwarts students, Pippi Longstockings, and many more beloved figures brought to life. πβ¨

The Class 9 students are completing a project that began last term, βTreasures of the Soulβ, a still life exploration using charcoal on paper π¨
Each student selected six to seven personal objects of meaning, chosen for their texture, form, and significance. These were carefully arranged into a balanced composition before being drawn through a contour study, focusing on proportion and shape.
The work then shifted into a subtractive drawing process. Students covered their page fully in charcoal, creating a dark surface from which the image was revealed by lifting out light with an eraser. In this way, the drawing is formed not only by adding marks, but by removing them.
This approach invites close observation of light and shadow, encouraging an awareness of how form emerges from darkness. It is both a technical study and a quiet reflection on the meaning held within the objects each student chose to include. βοΈ
