Westridge High School

A mural featuring one of Westridge High's most distinguished Alumni, Dr. Athol Williams, was unveiled on Monday 28 April 2025. The mural is located on Eisleben Road. For his efforts to promote literacy in Mitchell's Plain and beyond, Dr. Williams is indeed a South African hero and an education champion.

Nature Connect with Westridge High

Our grade 8 learners was delighted to go camping 8 September to 10 September at Rondevlei nature reserve.

It was truly a unique experience. Instead of cell phones, computers, and television screens, there was sipping on hot chocolate and story- telling under the stars on the camp site.Apart from hippopotamus popping up under the beautiful sunset and gutturalizing Western Leopard toads, the camp was quiet.No car engines, just the harmony of nature and the sound of the kids excitement and laughter.The kids also got the opportunity to cook their own potjie Kos.
The objective was that all kids leave the camp with a full heart, with life-long memories, a taste of the wild wonder and freedom of nature. The learners were accompanied by
Ms Davids (Liaison), Ms.Sebybo and Mr.Van De Leer.It was indeed a cheerful weekend for Westridge High grade 8 learners.

Our Grade 12 Valedictory ceremony was held on Tuesday 18 October 2022. It was a joyous celebration of our class of 2022, and our best wishes accompanies each and every learner as they prepare for the final exams.
