Today we celebrate the incredible women who nurture, inspire, and make a difference every day—our moms, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, cousins, teachers, caregivers, and all the amazing women in our First Steps family. 💖

We hope you enjoyed celebrating this long weekend with your loved ones and had the opportunity to relax, make special memories, and honour the wonderful women in your lives.

Thank you for the love, kindness, strength, and care you share with our little learners each and every day. You are truly appreciated—not only today, but every day. 🌷

🚜🌾 ON THE FARM THEME WRAP-UP 🐄🐑

Last week, our little learners wrapped up our On the Farm theme with another week of fun, hands-on learning!

From exploring farm animals and their babies to learning about tractors, crops, and where our food comes from, our classrooms were filled with curiosity, creativity, and laughter.

There were lots of smiles as our children counted and searched for hidden eggs, matched farm animals with their babies, fed the farm animals, washed the muddy ones, and enjoyed imaginative farm play with their friends. Along the way, they developed their language, early maths, creativity, fine and gross motor skills, and confidence—all while having fun!

🍪 One of the week's highlights was making and baking our own Farm Animal Biscuits, which our little bakers loved decorating before enjoying together.

🐄🚜 TERM 3 | WEEK 1 RECAP: ON THE FARM! 🚜🐄

What a wonderful start to Term 3 we've had at First Steps Daycare!

Last week, our little learners had so much fun exploring our On the Farm theme through hands-on play, creativity, music, stories, sensory experiences, and exciting learning activities.

From discovering farm animals and the sounds they make to creating beautiful farm-themed artwork, counting, sorting, building, singing, and spending time outdoors, every day was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful learning through play. 🐷🐮🐔🌾

We are so proud of how confidently our children settled back into their routines and embraced all the exciting experiences the week had to offer. We can't wait to see what Week 2 has in store as our farm adventures continue!
