ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. 🖤

Today, the staff of Wynberg Boys’ Junior School stand together in solidarity against Gender-Based Violence.

As educators, we have a responsibility to raise boys who understand that respect is not optional, that consent matters, that violence is never acceptable and that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued and heard.

We wear black today not only in solidarity with those affected by GBV, but as a commitment to creating a future where our boys become men who choose respect, kindness, accountability and courage.

Enough is enough. We must do better. We must speak up. We must stand together.

Wynberg Boys’ Junior School shares with profound sadness the passing of Keith Richardson, former Wynberg Boys' High School Headmaster and one of the most significant figures in the history of the Wynberg Boys' Schools.

Keith first joined the WBHS staff in 1975. After a brief period away from the school, he devoted four decades to Wynberg, returning to continue a remarkable career of service, leadership, and commitment to generations of Wynberg boys.

He served as Headmaster of Wynberg Boys’ High School from 1999 to 2015, leading the school with distinction. His contribution extended far beyond his time as Headmaster. As a teacher, mentor, colleague and leader, he played an instrumental role in shaping the character, culture and direction of the Wynberg Boys' Schools. Keith’s deep love for Wynberg, his dedication to education and his unwavering commitment to the young people entrusted to his care have left an enduring legacy. His influence will continue to be felt among Wynberg Boys' Junior School staff members, families and Old Boys whose lives he touched. Over the years, he remained an ardent supporter of WBJS and was last a guest at our Arnold Lorie Concert and has been assisting us with Cape Schools Cricket Week 2026.

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Pippa, his son Toto, his family, friends, former colleagues, and the wider education community.

The Wynberg family mourns the loss of a remarkable educator and leader, while remembering his extraordinary life of service with immense gratitude and affection.

May he rest in peace.
