📚✨ Celebrating the Magic of Language ✨📚

We kicked off our language celebration this week with a very special visit from author Bianca Flanders.

Our Grade 00–3 girls were delighted to meet Bianca and step into the wonderful world of her Pumpkin book series. She brought her story ‘Pumpkin and the Hidden Heroes’ to life, capturing the girls’ imaginations as they listened, laughed and explored the power of being an everyday superhero.

A huge thank you to Bianca for sharing her love of reading and reminding our girls that every story has the power to inspire, teach and bring us together. Here’s to celebrating language, creativity and the joy of books!

As part of their lessons, the girls are learning how to safely use modern kitchen appliances, including exploring the different settings and functions of an air fryer. Art in progress!🎨

Our Grade 7s are exploring the bold and fascinating world of Cubism as they create still life artworks inspired by musical instruments. The process begins with careful pencil drawings, focusing on shape, form and perspective. The girls then build depth and contrast using a range of greys before adding a striking pop of colour to bring their compositions to life.

It’s been wonderful to see their creativity and artistic skills develop as they experiment with this unique style. We can’t wait to see the finished masterpieces—but for now, we’ll have to wait and see the final result! ✨
