At Micklefield, we have the privilege of watching young girls grow into confident, compassionate and courageous young women.
Hereâs to raising women who are ready to lead, to serve, to inspire and to make their mark. Happy Womenâs Day from the Micklefield family!

Our Grade 2 girls are developing an important lifelong skill as they learn to write in cursive. More than just beautiful handwriting, cursive strengthens fine motor skills, improves hand-eye coordination, supports reading and spelling, and helps build confidence as young writers.
With every carefully formed letter and connected word, theyâre developing patience, perseverance, and the foundations for fluent writing. Itâs wonderful to watch their confidence grow as they master this exciting milestone, one loop and swirl at a time.
Preparing girls for life, one letter at a time.

đ⨠Celebrating the Magic of Language â¨đ
We kicked off our language celebration this week with a very special visit from author Bianca Flanders.
Our Grade 00â3 girls were delighted to meet Bianca and step into the wonderful world of her Pumpkin book series. She brought her story âPumpkin and the Hidden Heroesâ to life, capturing the girlsâ imaginations as they listened, laughed and explored the power of being an everyday superhero.
A huge thank you to Bianca for sharing her love of reading and reminding our girls that every story has the power to inspire, teach and bring us together. Hereâs to celebrating language, creativity and the joy of books!
