The Wonderkid, Siyanda Maqabuka, shocked the cross country circuit in 2025 placing 1st place for all 6 races he ran up until WP Championships where he was 10 placings short of being selected for the Western Province team. At the track and Field WP Championships Siyanda was 1 placing and 2 meters short of making the WP team in the 800m section. As an athlete who has just started competing in long distance this year and does not yet know what his potential is, we are certain that he still has a lot of success awaiting him in the sport in future. We are proud of Siyanda's accomplishments and will be training to achieve next year, what he missed out on this year!

Dale Mitchell is Disa Primary school's very first Western Province athlete. He took part in the Pool National championships which was held in Bloemfontein. Having had an amazing athletics season and just falling short of his WP colours in hurdles, it gives us great joy to see our students achieving great things. Overall, Dale finished 9th in the singles section and placed runner up in both the team and doubles sections of the Nationals event. We are extremely proud of Dale!
