Con Spirito Philharmonic invites you to “Messiah Highlights and Classical Masterpieces” on 29 August! Bring the whole family!

Con Spirito regularly creates opportunities for local and international artists to showcase their talents and this time the programme includes Concertos by Haydn and Mozart. The beautiful Cello Concerto in C by Haydn will be performed by CPO Cellist, Matthias-Remley Ender, and Dr Pieter Rooi will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A, K488.

Following these concertos, Dr Sjoerd Alkema selected eleven most beloved choruses from Handel’s Messiah interspersed with some tenor and bass arias presented by Sipho Fubesi and Patrick Tikolo, respectively.

Messiah Highlights and Classical Masterpieces on 29 August! Join us!

On the programme are concertos by Haydn and Mozart performed by Matthias Remley-Ender and Dr Pieter Rooi.

As Austrian Cellist and present member of the CPO, Matthias completed his studies with distinction at the Landeskonservatorium in Innsbruck, worked as medical doctor for 12 years at the Feldkirch State Hospital before he decided to dedicate himself fully to his true passion.

Dr Pieter Rooi studied at the Stellenbosch Conservatoire, continued his at the Royal college of Music in London, performed various concertos, and is Piano lecturer at SACS.

Con Spirito Philharmonic sing 11 of the most well-known choruses from Handel’s Messiah. The Tenor and Bass arias connect the storyline.
