Students from Zeppelin Uni configure a sea container to be a social lab in Cape Town. The academic How to design public space with participation? Dr. Stephan A.

Our experiment will investigate this question. With open participation formats we want to get involved people around the container space and become a vivid and creative atmosphere which includes everybody. The Humboldt Container is the heart of a public space intervention. Impressum

After some quiet weeks, we are back on track! Just had a wonderful group Skype to brainstorm on the time between the Container's arrival in Germany and the handover to the next Humboldt crew.

To all interested ZU students: Please approach us, if you are thinking about taking the Humboldt Container on its next exciting journey. We are happy to share our experiences and help you on the way. :)

Going back to February when only our would indicate the future existence of our Humboldt Journey Container. Our big suitcase was checked today by DB Schenker and is ready for the final inspection before it gets shipped back to Germany.

Design Contest | Language

Deadline hand-in sketch: 11th of May
Voting period: 12th and 13th of May
Performing day: 15th of May

Maybe you have seen the container in front of the College or here on Facebook. For our last workshop on the 15th of May we announce a design contest for the container back side wall.
You can hand in your sketch (spray paint based or paint brush based) in the box at the College of Cape Town City Campus entrance, inside the container or via mail and we will publish it for an open voting session in our container on the 12th and 13th of May.
The sketch with the most likes will win. At the workshop day you will then realize your design sketch on the wall.
We provide material and infrastructure. Make sure you are familiar with the dimensions of the container:
