A few weeks into an online course, many students will start to slip: an activity skipped, a login every second or third day, a unit left half finished. It's tempting to leave them to it.

Weโre extremely proud of Dr Tshepiso Kepadisa, and hugely honoured to be working with this amazing South African woman! Tshepiso is a physical therapist, and recently completed her PhD at SMU, in helping stroke victims. She reached out to us last year to start developing a Moodle LMS to create online courses to train physical therapists, as well as homecare providers, to support patients. Itโs been a challenging journey, but one she has embraced with determination, proving that anything is possible - even creating courses on Moodle from a phone!

A tool on its own doesn't create peer learning; people do. That's where facilitators like Alwyn or Erna come in. They read the boards to see who is engaging and how, then jump in: a comment here, a probing question there, a nudge to a teacher whose thinking is nearly there but needs some extra vooma to get them over the finish line.

- Who has posted, and who hasn't yet.
- How teachers are responding to each other's solutions.
- Every comment and reply on a board, in one clear view.
- Which contributions to respond to, or grade into the Moodle gradebook.
The PinBoard shows us where the conversation is happening, and in turn, we can track and provide support and feedback.
