PRAYER ALERT 0125⚠️

Dear friends of MOST,

From today, with expected return of the opposition presidential candidate into the country this morning, Mozambique stands on the cliff, and very little now needs to happen for the country to go over tipping edge, either into a chaotic destructive abyss, or into a laborious but hope-fuelled era of harmonizing, refocusing and rebuilding.

Either way the scale goes, Paul's clarion call remains ever urgent for the people of faith:

_"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior."
(1 Timothy 2v1-3)

May the God of all the earth be gracious and merciful.

OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!

Out of the harrowing stories of houses crackling and breaking apart, or just melting and sinking down, or being swept away in the KZN Floods...

.. there comes the telling tale of a single church that still stands, alone - without a single crack line or scratch - which during the deluge is said to have been moved away, intact, some 30m from where it was originally built, with all those who had taken refuge inside it in absolute safety!

The story is not an isolated occurrence.

On 16 March 2019, the eastern parts of Zimbabwe were hit with heavy rains and strong winds as Cyclone Idai made landfall. Cyclone Idai, characterised by floods and landslides, resulted in loss of lives and left immense damage of infrastructure and livelihoods. An entire residential area was flattened by massive rolling boulders and melting mountain rocks and sand. But here too, another church stood, a lone, awesome picture out of a sea of devastation and untold destruction.

More recently, the current Russian invasion of Ukraine saw widespread shelling of the capital city, wherein the main Baptist Church in Keiv was shown having sustained bombing, but the front top section of the main arch which features a cross, though flame blemished, remained intact!

Coincidental occurrences?

No! (May be so in a godless universe!) They are loud proclamations of the greatness, the power and the awesome wonder of God. Be it floods, plagues, natural disasters or act of war, our God Is a God who has always stood by His word, so that all glory may be His alone, for truly, He alone is the Only One deserving of it.

Truly, truly, Our God is an Awesome God!
