Equitots McGregor is now open. ... at the start of winter the bridge between home and Robertson washed away in the floods and Lené Carstens-Wiese found herself cut off from her precious little clients for months.
We're delighted to announce that we've found a new home in the Overberg with Stephanie Taljaard [and the bridge to Robertson has been fixed!]
Contact Lené directly to find out available time slots.

This mornings sunrise | a reminder that we get to choose what we do with our day, we can choose to break a habit that doesn't serve us, we can choose to look out for ourselves, we can choose kindness.

The secret to success is probably time with a horse...
as prey animals, horses have survival instincts that are finely tuned to detect changes in body language...
this means they are super sensitive to human behaviour and non-verbal communication
horses provide immediate feedback for children - subtle changes in energy, posture and heart rate influence how a horse will react...
if a child is anxious and approaches a pony in an agitated way, the pony will move away. If the child calms down, the pony will feel safe to approach the child...
..these sorts of interactions with horses help children learn emotional regulation which has several applications in navigating the challenges of every day life .
