SASTA - The South African Seafarers Training Association We offer courses and guidance for the Super Yacht, Cruise Liner, Commercial Shipping, Anti-piracy and the Oil & Gas Industry.

The South African Seafarers Training Association (SASTA) works in alliance with The South African Coast Guard Training Institute (SACGTI). Our core function is to ensure that candidates are advised on the correct courses for the work they intend doing at sea. These courses are STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) and I.M.O (International Maritime Organisation) accredited and internationally recognised. The current STCW courses which SASTA specialises in are fully compliant with the new Manilla Convention regulations. We offer courses and guidance for the Super Yacht, Cruise Liner, Commercial Shipping, Anti-piracy and the oil and gas industry. SACGTI & SASTA are the first organisations to offer STCW courses in the Gauteng Province as well as the Western Cape. Additionally we offer to assist students in obtaining their Seamans Discharge books and where necessary their Visas as well. SACGTI facilities are amongst the best in the country and their training is of the highest standard, resulting in certification highly internationally recognised.
