Enduro Pits is an event designed to promote the APBT as a working breed and not just a pet.

We encourage participants to partake in all the events instead of just the ones they excel in providing a much clearer picture of the dog's true ability as an all-rounder just as the APBT was bred to be. The events were created to promote healthier more active dogs and handlers while strengthening the bond between the two and improving handling skills. Our ultimate goal is to educate the public as

I can't remember much from when I was a pup all I remember my human bringing me to this beautiful place he said that this will be my new home . He cared for me loved me and even trained me. Once I got older he took me to a dog show I was so excited to see other dogs like me doing amazing things like high jump ,long hang and weightpull these dogs were my heroes and I thought I want to be like them when I grow up. My human started training me to do these wonderful things and I enjoyed every moment of it . One day he got home and brought me a weightpull harness just like those dogs at the show where wearing and told me its time we start training weightpull . Every evening when my human came home I would be sitting with my harness in my mouth excited my tail hitting everything in its way as we were about to train . My human started with light weights and gradually increased it we would go for long walks and I could feel I'm getting stronger everyday . He fed me the best food money could buy and said if I want to be an athlete I should eat like one. The day finally arrived that we where going to the show . There were big dogs , small ones but they all were in such great condition. I competed with my heroes and I won in my class . Was such a great feeling and I enjoyed it that I wanted more and worked even harder . Then after about 2 years of competing and winning numerous trophies and prizes this one day after a show there was these humans in brown pants with blue shirts they said that they closing down the shows as it is cruel and against the animal act . My human was upset and angry one of them tried to grab my lead and I growled at them then the other human came with a crate and shoved me in it saying I will see what happens next and my type are a problem all over the world . What does he mean by that ? Next I know I was shoved in a small kennel I could hardly stretch . What did I do to deserve this punishment ? My human came to visit me but the men wouldn't allow him to see me I could hear him arguing and started barking but they refused to let him near me. The next day they took me out and into a room where they walk this other dog past me I bark and showed my teeth as it was in me not to get along with other animals I couldn't help it! The human holding my lead said oh no hes dangerous we can't have any of you around. Now I lay here with my whole life flashing infront of me as I take my last breath asking myself what I did to deserve the death penalty ? All we were doing was having fun!

I was born the smallest in a litter of five my brothers nd sisters bullied me because I was small .Mom said I reminded her of her dad who was a Gr Ch and said I've got his blood I never knew what this meant .When I was 4 weeks old our human said I had to go because I was the smallest and weakest .The next day while I was asleep I woke up to a little human boy picking me up he said I was his. He took me to my new home where I was greeted by a friend or so I thought called fluffy he was bigger than me .As time went by my human loved me and we played ball and tug o war fluffy didn't like it and would nip at me a lot he even stole my toys when no-one was watching .My humans parents always said look how good they get along but never knew what was really going on .I woke up one morning and my human boy said that its my birthday and he has a surprise for me I felt very excited we went downstairs and in my bowl was a big juicy bone ,fluffy had one too and was happily eating away . My human told me to sit and then gave the command to eat ,as I was eating fluffy out of nowhere attacked me when no-one was looking .I couldn't help myself as I bit him back he started crying but it felt so good I lifted him up and started shaking my head ,I couldn't help myself .My humans parents started beating me and shouted at me to leave ,when I did fluffy just lay there covered in red not moving .What have I done ? I never meant to hurt him . They beat me and put me in the car and said I was to dangerous to be around their kid .My human was crying and screaming for them to leave me but they never heard him .Now I'm telling my story as I lay on this cold metal table all alone getting sleepy from the stuff the man in the white coat injected me with .My vision getting blurry and narrow the man in the white coat said I was going to a place where all my type belong .What did he mean ? As I take my last breathe I can't help but wonder what have I done? I never meant to hurt fluffy but I couldn't stop myself. By the Executioner

An APBT is short for American Pit Bull Terrier or pitbull as most know them as. The only way to know if you have a pure bred is by having a legitimate pedigree which shows you the family tree of the dog and also what traits to expect from the pup. 90 % of the time people own a dog that resembles one but without the ped you will never be 100% certain as anything could be bred into it. An APBT are pure-bred dogs that were bred for dog on dog combat without any fear of losing its life they were never a nanny dog as some may think they were bred to dog aggressive nd be friendly towards humans because when they were in the pit they were to be handled by anyone. The true APBT are not very good guard dogs but will protect their owners and territory. If you rescued a dog from the pound please don't call it an APBT unless you have the pedigree to prove it. The APBT are not huge dogs the average weight are between 12kg and 35kg . Blue and mearle are frowned upon as these were never part of the breeds colours and are normally associated with skin problems. The APBT is an all rounder and can be used for various working events because they are tough and are easily taught. They are generally not good with other animals there are some exceptions but remember its not the norm where they do get along with other animals . Its not advised especially unsupervised . A breaking stick is one of the most important tools an APBT owner can have as its used to open the jaws of the APBT in a case of a yard accident or to stop them from holding on to something they not suppose to yes some leave on command and some refuse to. No amount of training or socialising will ever get rid of dog aggression in them its part of their genetics and have been bred into them for 100s of years. Some of the tools used to exercise them are flirt sticks .slatmills ,and carpet mills .They are a breed with very high energy levels and needs to be kept active and fit . Obesity in these dogs are very high and put these dogs at great risk to injury .Dog shows are a fun activity to do with your APBT and they enjoy it .A basic first aid kit is also a must especially when owning more than one. Chainspots are not cruel if done correctly do some research on how to eg. proper swivels etc. These dogs come with a big responsibility and are not for everyone .Do some research on the breed and different bloodlines before you even think of owning one. Attend shows and speak to guys and girls that have experience in the breed . Don't ever buy from a person trying to sell you dogs that are bred for colour ,size and who makes a living selling them . If you hear bloodlines like Rednose, blacknose ,giant carver ,blue nose etc these are not bloodlines so run hide and stay far away from them as possible. If you come across a breeder selling convincing you that this pup costs more because its a rare colour or because its bigger run away and don't look back! Because he's not a breeder his a peddlar and has no respect for this breed only for his pocket! So guys and girls in ending be responsible ,do research and please be responsible and enjoy the breed before the greenies , fur moms and certain orgs who I cannot mention end what we have left of the greatest breed in the world the American Pit Bull Terrier. The wall climb activity is a great assessment of canine power. Power is defined as the highest amount of force that can be generated as quickly as possible. How powerful is your dog?
