🏆 CAPE TOWN NETBALL DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! 🥇

We are incredibly proud to announce that our U16A Netball Team has been crowned the U16 Cape Town Netball District Winners after a thrilling 23–20 playoff victory over Brackenfell High!

This achievement is exceptionally special as they are the only Southern Suburbs team, across all age groups, to qualify for the Western Cape Championship Tournament at Paarl Vallei this weekend.

Congratulations to the team on this phenomenal milestone. We wish you the absolute best as you represent Springfield Convent School and Cape Town Netball! 💙🏐💪

Congratulations to our dedicated dancers on their exceptional performances at the Cape Town Ballet Eisteddfod in Sea Point.

Won both group finals (All Ages & 17-19 Classical), taking home Best All Ages Group and Best Senior Classical Choreography!

WP HOCKEY SELECTIONS! 🏑🔥

Climbing the Thinking Ladder! 💡🪜

Last week our Springfield parents stepped into their daughters’ shoes at the Thinking@Springfield Parent Engagement Evening. Hosted by our Drive Team with Senior Primary + Specialist Teachers, it was all about moving past rote memorisation into real thinking.

We explored analysing, evaluating + creating using Dr. David Hyerle’s 8 Thinking Maps 🗺️ and Bloom’s Taxonomy for deeper questions.

🐻 We also launched Thinking Rosie Bear! She’s our classroom champion, helping pupils tackle middle + higher order questions to master their subjects.

Huge news from the national IEB-TechWays AI Hackathon! A massive congratulations to Entle Sheleni, Tegan Gasela, and Sarah Borwick. Our incredible Grade 9 team placed in the Top 10 nationwide for the Gr 9–12 category! 🏆

They went up against over 1,100 learners across the country and showed exactly what critical thinking and teamwork can do. Brilliant work, girls! 🌟

Springfield participated in Slipper Day today - a major annual fundraising initiative run by the Reach For A Dream Foundation in South Africa. By buying an R20 sticker and wearing your slippers in public, you help fund dreams for children fighting life-threatening illnesses. We pray for those children and their bravery.
