On the last day of Term 3, our learners attended an important assembly talk presented by the South African Police Service, focusing on su***de prevention, mental health and the importance of speaking up when support is needed.

As September draws attention to su***de prevention and awareness, the session encouraged learners to look out for one another, seek help when needed, and understand that conversations around mental health matter. 💙

Thank you to SAPS for taking the time to engage with our learners on such an important topic.

🇿🇦 HERITAGE DAY | ROBBEN ISLAND 🇿🇦

In celebration of Heritage Month, a few of our RCL members had the wonderful opportunity to visit Robben Island, courtesy of Metro North Education District.

This meaningful experience allowed our learners to connect with South Africa’s history, reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedom and gain a deeper appreciation for our shared heritage. 📚🇿🇦

We are proud of our RCL members for representing our school and embracing opportunities that encourage learning beyond the classroom.

Our heritage is our story. Our history shapes who we are. Our future is in our hands. 🌍🙌

Happy heritage day!

Dear Parents/Guardians

As we have come to the end of Term 3, we would like to advise you that our Summer Uniform officially starts on Monday, 12 October 2026. ☀️💙

From 6–9 October 2026, learners may wear either the full winter uniform or the full summer uniform.

We kindly ask parents and learners to take a moment to familiarise themselves with the correct summer uniform requirements and to use the school holidays to ensure that your child has everything they need ready for the start of Term 4.

✨ Correct uniform
✨ Neat and tidy appearance
✨ Wear it with pride
✨ Represent Parow High School with dignity

Let’s work together to ensure that every learner returns to school looking smart, feeling confident and proudly representing our school. 💙

🖤 Today, Parow High School wore black in solidarity with the women and children of South Africa.

Women should be safe to go for a run.
Safe to visit the post office.
Safe to enjoy a night out.
Safe to walk home from school.
Safe in their homes.
Safe everywhere.

Wearing black is a symbol…but our responsibility does not end today. Today and every day, we must stand together, speak out and work towards a country where women and children can live without fear.

Enough is enough. Let us end the silence. Let us end the violence.
