Wanneer mens deur die boek van herinneringe blaai.
Dit is met groot skok dat ek verneem van die heengaan van 'n vriend, studente maat, eks -kollega George Kroneberg .
Ek het George in 1966 ontmoet aan die destydse UKWK. Ons was saam eerstejaar studente en het Aardrykskunde saam geswot.
Na ons studies het ek by Arcadia Sekondêr gaan skool hou en hy was na Florida Hoërskool. Hy was paar jaar ook by Arcadia Sekondêr.
Ons het as huisvriende gereeld gekuier, in sy destydse woning in Sarepta, Kuilsrivier.
Sy oudste twee kinders, Dieter en Liesl, was vriende van my twee seuns, Craig en Ryan.
So verloor mens soms kontak.
Ek het hom per geleentheid weer paar jaar gelede gekry by 'n prys uitdeling geleentheid waar sy kleinkind saam met my kleinkindertjies pryse ontvang het.
Dis met diepe hartseer dat ek vanoggend terugdink aan ons mooi jare van vriendskap.
Rus Sag Groot Man. Jammer ons het so min kontak gehad na Tommy se heengaan.
Innige meelewing met jou vrou Mona, kinders, broer Ivan en suster Fredeline.

Congratulations Mrs Jones, Mrs Nassen and the rest of the educators of Arcadia for achieving the best results in Bonteheuwel. Experiencing the joy your learners expressed towards you and the other educators as they received their results was awesome. Just shows you how much they appreciate your efforts you put in towards their success. I feel so proud of all them, as if I was either a parent or educator. To all the invigilators, but especially Jeremy, who made the learners feel at ease, and as one learner said; Thank you for all your prayers...May you all be proud of being part of the matric 2021 journey, no matter how small a part it was, it helped our learners...May 2022 be a very good year for Arcadia SSS..GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! 🤗❤️🙏🙏🥂🥂

To my fellow Arcadians and alumni ....I haven't posted in a while, but would like to make a request please...we are running our annual Santa Shoebox drive hoping to reach as many kids as possible. Good evening all.
As we all know, the country is sinking. Most of us cannot pack up and leave to UK, the States, Australia and the like. As an ex student (70's) I would like to meet up to have a discussion around Western Cape Independence. I am aware that there are diehard ANC, DA, EFF people amongst us and rightfully so.
