Services:
Our services include workshops and interventions focused on youth development, personal development and personal mastery for women and teens. We offer leadership development, stress management, life coaching and work-readiness training in both corporate as well as community contexts with much of our work also including school communities. Our experience includes research and monitoring and evaluation. Examples of current programmes:
Managing and Leading with Emotional Intelligence, Building Effective Working Relationships, Coaching skills for managers, Understanding Diversity, Intercultural communication, Leading and leadership in the workplace, Managing conflict through effective interaction and communication, Personal Mastery for Teens, Personal Mastery for Women, Effective time management, Strategic life management Giving and receiving feedback, Stress management
Who we are:
Violet Adonis: is a registered social worker (graduate of UWC, Cape Town & Hogskolen I Oslo, Norway (Masters) ). Over the last few years she has worked in teaching and learning settings e.g. Universities, Schools and TVET Colleges. She worked briefly in the Domestic Violence sector and has experience of working at a Tertiary Academic Hospital and the Cape Jewish Seniors Association. She has a passion to work with young people and although her skill set is vast; her greatest strength is to listen to the heart beat of people. Her wish is to combine her social work knowledge and experience to deliver the best services we have to offer at the Centre for Transformative Development. Nariman Laattoe: holds a Masters Degree in Adult Education from the University of Cape Town. She is a published researcher and lecturer and has worked in universities, TVET colleges and schools. Nariman has vast experience in community development and locates her skills in the area of social inclusion, community leadership development and personal development. She is currently the Chair of the Western Cape Network for Community Peace and Development and an advisory board member of the Foundation for Sport, Development and Peace.
