Last week I got to spend time with an EO Accelerator group.
When I started my first business, I boxed people who built and ran businesses as all knowing, overtly competitive and unrelatable.
The more humanity I have explored in myself through my work and through living, the more these assumptions have changed and, more accurately, completely inverted.
Especially in this crew of humans I found to be insatiably curious, wide open, courageous beyond measure and so very comfortable with being vulnerably human.
6 very different men and the lovely Taryn.

..that was so much fun. I hope you all have a cracker middle and end of 2026 š

MAGIC workshop moments
There are these moments in workshops that change the way someone sees themselves. Moments where an old belief softens and something more human, more honest, takes its place.
I recently facilitated a 90 minute refresher and reconnection session for the Timbuktu Sales team - lekker humans. Their original workshop last year was one of the most powerful group experiences I have been part of, as a facilitator.
The conversation moved toward how differently we each experience support, give support and need support.
One brave soul shared that they didnāt believe they were particularly good at supporting others when they needed it.
And then came that magic moment.
Almost immediately, the rest of the team reflected back that they were actually the person who showed up the most consistently for everyone else.
Watching how that was received, it's so tangible that a pattern and belief was being rewritten and, what was felt in the room - sho... just friggen magic!
And it is not only the person receiving it who is experiencing a rewrite, it's all of us.
Thank you Jonty Medcalf for trusting me to play a role in your team journey and to be a part of spaces where honesty and vulnerability deepened connection š
"Culture and team dynamics are fundamental and these sessions are an incredibly effective way of short cutting to the magic" Jonty Medcalf, Head of Sales, Timbuktu Travel

Tomorrow morning Iām hosting my last FEEL IT session in Hout Bay until Spring.
Just music in nature and a space most of us rarely give ourselves to come back to ourselves.
Most of us underestimate how much stress, noise and emotional load we quietly carry in our nervous systems.
Come to release and reset. It will move the dial more than you can imagine. Money back guaranteed ;-)
And leave a little lighter than you arrived.
If you feel the pull, pull in š¤©šæ

Iāve discovered over 12 years of studying the Enneagram that there is a deep connection between our emotional patterns and where dis ease shows up in the body.
What feels empowering about this is that, through this lens, we can begin to see clearly where something in us needs care, acceptance, and a little more allowing.
Knowing what is healthy is often not enough.
Under pressure, we return to familiar patterns⦠even when they work against us.
Iām running a half day workshop on the 8th of May at LifeShine that explores this more deeply.
Itās part of WholeHealth Renewal.
A body of work shaped by 17 years of exploring my own health across the mental, emotional, and physical.
The work draws from research like Radical Remission, Blue Zones, Positive Psychology, along with lived experience and real world application.
WholeHealth Renewal is a structured, experiential programme designed to support people navigating significant life transitions with more clarity, self understanding, and sustainable change.
Identity. Habits. A more conscious way forward.
There are moments in life when what used to work no longer does.
After illness
After burnout
After loss
After a major shift
Energy changes
Perspective shifts
Old roles and habits no longer fit š
This work exists for that moment.
If you feel like youāre in one of those spaces, youāre welcome to reach out and I can share more.

Embodied rage is the way.
If you had said that to me a year ago, I would have politely nodded and thought you were full of sh .
Like most, I believed calmness came from managing my emotions better. I didnāt realise that I only allowed certain emotions if I understood or justified them, and it was often a story where someone else was wrong and I was this virtuous one ;-) (guess who was the one who was full of sh ;-)
I came across the work of Joe Hudson, who works with leaders inside Apple, OpenAI and Google, and something about his approach didnāt just pull everything together⦠it landed in a very different way.
He has this deep ferocity around serving others and deep humanity (kindness) which, for me, makes him quite unique. He has this experiential approach around embodiment which, for me, is deeply counterintuitive⦠that rage, when it is fully felt in the body without story or justification, can be the doorway to calmness, clarity and something far more honest.
No blaming, no fixing, no analysing⦠just feeling.
At the time, I didnāt understand it at all. But I was stuck in a familiar pattern of my own, going in circles in my work and feeling increasingly frustrated, inconsistent and, if Iām honest, lost in a way of thinking and feeling that was driving me nuts.
So I called a mate and coach to help. My whole perspective around anger, sadness and shame being the path back to myself would have sounded like hippy crap, but through an experience, it changed absolutely everything.
I realise that even reading this blog might be a stretch, but I promise its content will set in motion a path, if you resonate with where I was, that will bring you deeper calmness than you have ever experienced.
Seems much needed with the nuttiness of the world right now ;-)

I have been following a lot of Joe Hudsonās work lately and stumbled across this video offering this counterintuitive idea that RAGE is actually the path to calmness and clarity.Ā Joe Hudson is this top notch coach to highly functioning executives at Apple, OpenAI, and Google.

I am seeing some clients thriving like never before and others in absolute crisis. I believe the latter can be used beautifully and intentionally to enable the former.
As usual within my blogging style; a short and personal story about falling into panic to clear the clutter and make room for that thriving chapter. š¬ - š¤©

Four years ago, mid mountain miler meltdown, I created a mantra to keep moving:
Feel it.
Drop the story.
Keep moving forward.
It worked then.
It works now.
Right now, in South Africa and globally, there is a lot to feel.
Economic pressure. Social noise. Performance expectations. We lead teams, build businesses, show up for families⦠often with nervous systems... well "fried" š
How about a date with your fine self, rather than another!
On Saturday 14 Feb, at sunrise in Hout Bay, I am hosting FEEL IT.
One hour.
Carefully curated music.
Nature.
Just presence.
It is a playful combo this week. It's powerful. Its designed to clear emotional residue you did not know you were carrying - yip, you know mos.
And it reconnects you to the version of yourself that leads from clarity rather than tension.
I have started adding this into my business workshops because something beautiful happens when people regulate together. Defences soften. Creativity rises. Collaboration becomes easier.
Business self care is not indulgent. It is intelligent.
If you want to show up more grounded, more inspired, and slightly more human, come get lighter.
Limited tickets.

Four years ago, while training for my first mountain miler, I needed something simple to keep me steady when things got uncomfortable.
I landed on a quiet mantra:
Feel it
Drop the story
Keep moving forward
It helped me regulate my emotional state, loosen the mental noise, and stay with what was actually happening rather than the stories my mind wanted to tell.
That first line, Feel it, stayed with me.
Over time, it became clear how often unprocessed emotion sat in my body, quietly influencing my reactions, decisions, relationships, and health. When I didn't allow myself to feel, it didnāt disappear. It just leaked out sideways.
FEEL IT has since grown into a one hour experiential offering.
Carefully curated music.
A beautiful natural setting at sunrise in Hout Bay.
No talking. No fixing. No performance.
Just presence, movement, and permission to let the body do what it knows how to do.
I now include FEEL IT at the start of my workshops to clear stored emotion and loosen old stories. It resets the nervous system, clears the slate, and creates a surprisingly deep sense of connection, both to self and to others, without needing words.
Over the next four months, weāre hosting four sunrise FEEL IT sessions through summer.
It might be the non verbal reconnection you didnāt know you needed.
Or the quiet glue your team needs to bond before doing the real work.
Youāre warmly welcome.
Much kindness to yourself
Feel It ā Brett W Simpson
Most teams arenāt struggling because they lack knowledge or skills; instead, they are under pressure, overstimulated, and emotionally spent. We canāt think our way to better team dynamics. We need to feel our way there.
28/01/2026
I have recently realised that not all teams need more insight. Some need more space to integrate it.
Over the years of running one day Enneagram workshops, Iāve noticed something important.
For some teams, a full day is exactly whatās needed.
Insight lands, language clicks, and momentum follows.
And for others⦠itās simply too friggen fast.
Not because people or teams are resistant.
But because real integration takes time.
Space.
Breathing room.
A few lived moments between sessions where awareness meets reality and settles more deeply.
Sometimes slowing down is exactly what allows teams to move forward more effectively.
So Iāve created a slower, more supported way of working with teams.
Same depth. Same honesty.
Just paced for real life and sustainable change.
The three month Enneagram Integration Pathway, designed to let patterns surface, settle, and actually shift.
Iām flippen excited about this one. It feels aligned with how change really happens when we work with it, rather than letting it derail our expectations.
If this resonates, amazing š
Much kindness to your teams (and yourselves)

High performing teams build shared understanding, trust, and the ability to respond well under pressure. When this is in place, communication sharpens, accountability strengthens, and performance becomes more consistent.
