Kids just love dinosaurs as a theme, and the last two weeks have been filled with the excitement of discovering what lived so long ago. Their curiosity about these ancient creatures sparks imagination and wonder, as they learn about different species, their habitats, and how they roamed the Earth millions of years ago. Activities like digging for fossils, creating dino-inspired crafts, and reading stories make the experience both educational and fun, bringing a prehistoric world to life right before their eyes.

Mini beasts have been a truly fascinating topic for our kids, sparking curiosity and excitement as they explore the natural world. In our large garden, we had the wonderful opportunity to find and observe some of the bugs we have been discussing, bringing learning to life. Alongside these outdoor discoveries, we have been creating beautiful art using handprints to make spiders, which help develop creativity and fine motor skills. Drawing spider webs further enhances their hand-eye coordination, and all these activities are conducted one-on-one with teachers, ensuring each child receives full personal attention and support throughout their learning experience.

Although it feels like autumn has quickly given way to winter, our children have truly enjoyed exploring the autumn theme. They've delighted in the crisp crunch of fallen autumn leaves and the discovery of pine cones in our sensory activities . One of the highlights has been watching a few squirrels energetically climbing the trees in our garden.

Happy Easter! Our kids have had a blast enjoying a variety of Easter crafts, from decorating colorful eggs to creating baskets. The lively Easter celebration was full of laughter, joy, and memorable moments, making it a special occasion for everyone.

Fine motor skills, which involve the coordination of small muscles in the hands, fingers, and wrists, play a vital role in early childhood development. These skills are essential for fostering independence as children learn to perform everyday self-care tasks such as buttoning clothes and eating. Additionally, fine motor proficiency supports academic success by improving handwriting, scissor use, and hand-eye coordination, all of which are foundational for effective learning. Developing these abilities also contributes to cognitive growth and boosts self-esteem as children gain confidence in their capabilities. In our Froggies class, teacher Tatum places a strong emphasis on cultivating fine motor skills, ensuring that our children build a solid foundation that will support their progress when they begin writing and spelling in primary school. Thanks to our small class size, individual attention can be focused on each child, allowing for tailored support and more effective skill development.

Our Tadpoles class is a loving and nurturing environment where toddlers thrive through engaging activities and attentive care. Our daily routine includes singing, dancing, storytelling, sensory activities, and art, all designed to stimulate curiosity and creativity. Outdoor play is an essential part of our day, allowing children to explore and develop their physical skills. With three dedicated carers in the class, each child's individual needs are carefully met, ensuring they feel supported and valued. We emphasize learning through play, encouraging plenty of sensory experiences and messy fun to help toddlers discover the world around them in a joyful and meaningful way.

Our Froggies class has had a busy few weeks exploring emotions, learning about pets, and discovering the important roles of people who help us. Each day, we engage in a well-rounded routine that includes circle time, music, art, fine motor activities, and outdoor play, all filled with fun and laughter. With only 8 to 10 children in the class, we can provide individual attention to every little learner, building a strong foundation for their growth and development.
