"Wine shouldn't be intimidating, it should be inviting." 🍷
For Guild Member Rianie Strydom, great wine isn't about knowing all the right terminology. It's about creating moments where everyone feels welcome around the table.
Because when wine feels approachable, curiosity grows, conversations flow, and more people discover the stories behind every bottle.
At the Cape Winemakers Guild, we believe the best wine experiences are the ones that make everyone feel they belong.

Great wine begins long before harvest.
For Guild Member Kevin Grant, every bottle is shaped by the vineyard, guided by patience and crafted with purpose.
His philosophy is simple: listen to the land, respect the process and allow each vintage to tell its own story.
It's this dedication to authenticity that makes Cape Winemakers Guild Auction wines so special, crafted in limited quantities, never rushed, and designed to showcase the very best of South African winemaking.

"Wine is about fun… It's such an emotional industry. Everyone says emotion and business shouldn't be together. But here, this is all emotion." Guild member, Duncan Savage.
Behind every bottle is a person, a place and a passion that can't be measured.
From the anticipation of harvest to the decisions made in the cellar, winemaking is driven by instinct, experience and heart. It's a craft where emotion isn't a weakness, it's what makes every vintage unique.
It's this passion that continues to shape the Cape Winemakers Guild and the exceptional wines crafted by its members.

What if we told you wine has a postcode? 🍷
Well... sort of.
It's called terroir, the unique combination of soil, climate, elevation and landscape that gives every vineyard its own personality.
It's why no two Cape Winemakers Guild Auction wines are ever quite the same.
Because great wine doesn't just come from grapes.
It comes from place.

What does it take to craft an Auction wine?
For Carl Schultz, it begins long before the grapes reach the cellar.
Every Auction wine is the result of careful vineyard selection, thoughtful decision-making and an unwavering commitment to quality. It’s a process guided by experience, refined through patience and driven by the pursuit of excellence.
These are wines crafted to tell the story of a single vintage, a unique place and the vision of the winemaker behind every bottle.
