The Beehive Montessori Pre-School is a (private) parent run school which was established in 1983 by parents for their children. The school is registered as a non-profit organisation. We follow the same school term calendar as the Western Cape Public Schools and our days start at 07h45 until 12h15. We have Toddler, English and Bilingual Classes, which are observed by a Directress and Assistant Directress. For children to fully benefit from the programme it is advisable that they complete the full 3-year cycle (3 – 6yrs). Our school employs qualified and experienced staff, and is registered with the Western Cape Education Department. The school is also a member of the South African Montessori Association (SAMA). We provide a daily living and learning environment for children where they can grow socially, physically and mentally in a structure based on the Montessori philosophy. A Montessori-based after-school care facility provide a full-day or half-day caring and stimulating environment for children in the afternoons. A parent committee, including the Head Directress (Principal), manages the business affairs of the Beehive Montessori Pre-School.
