DIWALI CELEBRATION
Join me in wishing the staff, learners and parents who are celebrating Diwali today.
Today marks a significant celebration of Light, Love, and Joy. Amongst the many forms of celebration, Diwali is also a time to reflect on life and make changes for the upcoming year.
Each of the four days in the festival of Diwali is marked with a different tradition. What remains constant is the celebration of life, its enjoyment, and a sense of goodness.

Well done guys how awesome to share this wonderful tribute.
David Johnson was the first junior and first Spartan to finish the Landmarks half marathon in 1 hour 34 minutes 47 seconds.
David said, "I started with a pace of 3:30
and for the first 3 km I was motoring because I was aware of the uphills.
I ran with the overall winners for the first 3km to learn from them and for position advantage. It was a tough run, but tough runs don't last, tough runners do".
Another awesome achievement David🏃🏃
This morning the grade 10 hospitality learners invited their special guests to a meal they had prepared, as part of their final assessment.
These photos show them setting up and serving their guests while being immaculately dressed.

It’s the end of a journey for the matrics in the first team cricket team.
What a rollercoaster journey it has been for Bergvliet 1st team cricket. Through all the ups and downs, we have stuck together as a team supporting each other every step of the way. A final match day for matrics and happy to end it with a win over Milnerton 1st team.
To all our incredible supporters, thank you for being there through thick and thin. Your cheers have pushed us to that extra mile when we needed it the most.
To our coaches, thank you for dedicating your time and effort into making us better players and stronger individuals. Your guidance has shaped us into the players we are today.
And let us not forget the incredible talent within our team. Together we have motivated and supported each other, pushing boundaries and proving that we are a force to be reckoned with. Our unity and resilience have been the driving force behind our success.
Thank you for an unforgettable journey. Let us carry the memories, lessons, and friendships we have made with us as we continue to pursue our love for the game.

As all learners engage with their final school exams over the next few weeks, on behalf of the staff, I wish to extend my best wishes to every one of them.
We have seen them grow and develop over the years. We encourage them to do their very best, not for anyone else but for themselves. Family members need to support and motivate in their home, to persevere when the going gets tough and to ensure that they strike the balance between eating, studying, sleeping, exercising and praying.
We particularly think of the Matrics as they prepare for their final school exams – all the best!

Last weekend Kieran Brown, (9G) participated for Western Province RASSPL in a triangular angling league competition against OVERBERG RASSPL and Southern CAPE RASSPL in Gourikwa which is 20 minutes outside of Mosselbay.
With a stiff Easterly wind blowing into our faces, we were up at 2:30am to get to our fishing spots as there were over 120 anglers competing in the competition. Conditions were tough and we had to grind out our species of fish for points towards the league standings.
Overall Kieran finished 1st in the u16 Junior category, 5th overall beating many seniors and top father and son category on the day.
WP walked away with the trophy for the 2nd year running. Western Province Chairman Shaun Taljaard and Overberg Chairman Nieyaaz Hamza handed out the prizes at the prize giving after the competition.
Mr. Travis-Leigh Brown (father)
Well done to both of you, special congratulations for winning the father & son category, that's awesome!!
