Congrats to both of them, in particular to our student Jess Worsley!!

Last week the BITDN REGIONAL HACKATHON promoted by BRICS Astronomy (https://www.bricsastronomy.org/event/bitdn-regional-hackathon/) took place at the South African Astronomical Observatory.

During those 3 days of hackathon, students were randomly divided into groups and challenged with 2 possible cases studies:
(i) A sentiment analysis of Twitter messages, e.g. something that companies would use to measure public opinion on one topic or another.
(ii) An agritech analysis of the quality of apples, e.g. how technology assists agriculture in the age of the 4th industrial revolution.

We are proud that the two winning teams were led by two astronomy students: Venu Prayag and Jess Worsley!
Congratulations to all team members too!
