Bubblegum Club gets under the fingernails of The Apocalypse Pantry, plays in the ash and picks apart the carcass. Thank you for this fire. With thanks to Nic Grobler for the photography.

Can we think through the senses? Recognise how systems of control distribute what is sensible, what is knowable, along predetermined trajectories, patterns of thought, or experiences of encounter? We set up shop at a magical interdimensional (really) venue on Buitenkant, an informal gathering, no entry and all good vibes.

A chance for Future Nostalgia to gather again, bring space into the place on the decks, with João Orecchia of Blk JKS & Motel Mari doing an amazing live electro performance. Art by Dathini Mzayiya and Thokozani Mthiyane became performative and interactive and set up the vibes for the incredible jam with Reza Khota leading, Brydon Bolton on bass and Thokozani Mhlambi on cello.

We were transported, fam, it was groundbreaking but very, very grounded.

Beginning to understand the power of plants and the sacred connection to burning them while engaging around the issues the global world order has us locked under. To***co is a great example of this. Join us for the next one!

On a voyage up the east coast of South Africa, the land is paved with plantations. All the way up to Mozambique. Green sugarcane in these times, prioritising sugar over foods and water access for those without.

Also, see new posts explain the food system (in all the ways it needs explaining).
