Precept Africa

The Impetus Precept group, a women's Bible study based in the Eastern Cape, sent us some feedback from a few of their members who have been working through the study: "Jesus, Verstaan Sy Dood en Opstanding en Boustof vir ‘n Sukseshuwelik". Here's what they had to say:

"Die wyse waarop hierdie Bybelstudie-gidse saamgestel is om in een byeenkoms n aspek te kan ondersoek en hanteer binne 40 minute, maak dat mens kan uitsien na die sessies ( sonder om te voel dat die vrae bloot beantwoord moet word, want daar is nie tyd vir gesprek en deel nie). Die bykomstige inligtingstukke bring verryking van dit wat in die Bybel staan. Dit is wonderlik om met die deurwerk van die studies vryheid te beleef en te hoor hoe elke afdeling verskillend inspreek in elke groepslid se lewe."

Verstaan Geestelike Gawes

"Hierdie Bybelstudie het my geleer dat geestelike gawes in die 2 kategorië van diens en spreek verdeel kan word. Ek het meer bewus geraak daarvan dat ons ons gawes van die Heilige Gees, wat ons Helper en Trooster is, ontvang. Ek het veral geleer dat totale oorgawe aan die Here van kardinale belang is om die geestelike gawes wat ons ontvang het, uit te leef."

"Die Bybelstudie het my meer bewus gemaak van die leefwêreld van Jesus, sodat ek die bekende gebeure in Markus kon visualiseer en beleef asof ek n omstander was. Ek het die grootste bewuswording gekry van n Heer wat mense lief het, ongeag van hulle ouderdom, geslag, sosiale of materiële stand. Bowenal het ek bewus geraak van Jesus wat mense ontmoet en lief het waar en soos hulle is. Hy verwag nie dat mens eers moet regverdig word of "bykom" nie."

Baie dankie vir die wonderlike werk wat Precepts doen om ons te lei op ons pad na heiligmaking.

From a conference that was almost cancelled to a ministry opportunity beyond what we imagined.

In New Congo, a village within Uganda's Nakivale Refugee Settlement, church leaders gathered for the first-ever Precept training in the community. Despite concerns surrounding the Ebola outbreak, God opened the way.

📷 2 - Pastor Stephen left inspired to begin weekly Precept studies in his church.
📷 3 - Pastor Jacqueline's enthusiasm has already sparked interest among pastors from Burundi and Rwanda—opening the door to explore translations into Kirundi and Kinyarwanda.

As these leaders return to their churches equipped to teach God's Word, the impact will extend far beyond this conference.
