40 men, women and children braved the icy rain last night to join for the monthly Hope People meeting. We had a focus on GBV leading up to Women’s day. Luxton shared pertinent scriptures, family stories from his childhood, and a clear anti-GBV, anti-family violence message. It was a very encouraging time. There is HOPE! Join us next time 🤩

Over the last 48 hours, the Hope Men Youth, Hope Men, and local residents united to rebuild homes for the 5 families who lost everything in the devastating fire on April 8th 2026. Thank you to everyone who sowed finances and gave their time, sweat, and heart to restore these lives. We are truly stronger together. 🧱❤️

Thinking warm thoughts and safety for everyone in Cape Town navigating the aftermath of this part of the storm.
Grateful for those incredible members in our team who braved the elements to assess the damage at the Hope Centre, unite in prayer, and check on community members.
We bought some tools & supplies to support residents who have been at work fixing their homes since morning. Quite a few families are facing damaged roofs and water in their homes.
Please continue to keep the Camp Road communities in your prayers.

Getting plans into place to rebuild homes. Thank you to all the generous sponsors, community members & donors who gave over the last week. WE HAVE COVERED THE CRITICAL ASKS & have no more space for donation storage since the families don't have a home yet!
Day 2. Familes called on friends/neighbours for somewhere to sleep, Hope Centre provided dinner & breakfast, due to generous donors, school uniforms & shoes are currently being purchased, we wait to hear on the availability of starter packs for rebuilding homes.
