Behind every number is a learner inspired, a teacher supported, a young person finding new opportunities, a garden growing food and a community building resilience.

Here's a snapshot of what we've been able to achieve together over more than 20 years.

What a week its been!

200 employees. Two schools. One day of purpose. 🌱💚

What an incredible day it was yesterday alongside Sanlam and forgood, bringing people together to make a lasting difference for local school and communities.

As part of Sanlam Foundations employee volunteering programme, 200 employees joined SEED for an interactive planting workshop at Kasselsvlei Comprehensive High School and Cherè Botha Special School.

The day was filled with teamwork, creativity and plenty of soil! Employees painted colourful planter boxes before planting them with a variety of vegetable seedlings. These will remain at the schools, helping to provide fresh produce for the schools and local feeding initiatives for months to come.

It's amazing to see how a single day of volunteering can leave behind something that continues to grow, nourish and benefit an entire community.

A heartfelt thank you to Sanlam, forGood, everyone who rolled up their sleeves, and our incredible SEED team who worked behind the scenes to prepare every planter box, seedling and activity that made the day such a success.

Together, we're planting more than vegetables - we're growing food security, environmental awareness and stronger communities. 🌿

This Mandela Day, we chose to grow. 🌱

We spent our Friday alongside the incredible New Woodlands community in a garden that tells a powerful story. What was once a dumping ground is now becoming a place of growth, life, connection and purpose.

Transformation doesn’t always begin with grand gestures—sometimes it starts with a shovel, a seed, and people who believe their community can be something more.

A special shout-out to Gerald for spearheading this initiative and for inviting SEED to be part of the journey. Thank you for your vision, leadership and commitment to creating lasting change in your community.

Sometimes we get so busy doing the work that we forget to stop and share it.

So here’s a little snapshot of what’s happening across our spaces lately 💚

🌿 270 students trained each year
🥬 114kg of organic produce harvested every month
🌱 300 primary school learners taught every week through our Outdoor Classroom
🍲 Produce donated to 3 community feeding schemes every week

From boardrooms to garden beds 🌱

Such a good day with some of the PUMA South Africa team at Rocklands Urban Abundance Centre this week.

Planting cabbages and cauliflower, prepping compost, exploring the medicinal gardens and getting hands dirty together 🌍

Real partnerships are built through shared experiences, learning together and showing up in community.

Big thanks to the Puma team for bringing such great energy, and to our amazing SEED crew who made the day so special 💚

We’re looking forward to welcoming more teams in the months ahead for volunteer and team-building experiences rooted in nature, community and connection.
