There are more AI tools available than most of us could ever keep up with.

But knowing more tools doesn’t necessarily mean knowing how to use AI effectively.

A better place to start is with the problem.

For example:

“I need AI for my meetings.” is still quite broad.

But:

“I spend 30 minutes after every meeting writing up notes and action points.”

Now you have something specific to work with.

Before choosing an AI tool, ask:

What am I trying to achieve?
What is getting in the way?
What do I actually need AI to help me do?

Then choose the tool that fits the job.

When an AI-created presentation slide or assignment is imported into Canva as a flat design, the wording, images and other elements may not be immediately editable.

Canva offers several tools for working with this content:

1. Use Grab Text to turn wording in a flattened design into editable text.
2. Use Magic Grab to move objects or images.
3. Use Magic Layers to separate parts of the design.

Once the content is editable, you can adjust the layout, replace images and update the fonts, colours and elements.

AI can create a useful first draft, but that does not always mean the design is ready to use.

Text, images and layout elements may be flattened or difficult to edit.

Even when the design is editable, spacing, alignment, hierarchy and consistency still need attention. It also needs to reflect your brand through the correct colours, fonts, imagery and visual style.

This is the step that is often missing from an AI design workflow: moving from an AI-created starting point to a project you can confidently edit, present and reuse.

During the Canva Deep Dive, you will work through that process across two practical sessions. You will learn how to make AI-created slides, images and designs editable, refine the visual details and align the finished project with your brand.
