For the last few weeks, I have felt a little despondent.

Many of you who follow me know how deeply passionate I am about promoting health and well-being. I truly want to help people become the motivated, happy, healthy, and terrific individuals they desire and deserve to be.

This matters just as much for spinal health as it does for metabolic health.

But lately, it has felt as though my words of encouragement and advice have been falling on deaf ears. Almost like the Ostrich Effect. If I ignore it, maybe it will not apply to me. I will share more on that soon.

I started wondering if it was really worth spending so much of my time and energy trying to help, encourage, educate, empower, and equip others to take better care of themselves.

Then I read an article today that stopped me in my tracks.

It reminded me of something I have been saying for years. Living longer does not always mean living healthier.

And in that moment, I realised something very clearly.

I cannot give up.

Promoting a healthy lifestyle is not a nice to have. It is non-negotiable.

Preventative wellness is not optional if we want better energy, better movement, better resilience, and a better quality of life as we age.

So, I am back on track. Recommitted. Refocused. More determined than ever.

The way you answer these seemingly simple, yet profound, questions will determine how you should approach this new year.

If you are praying that 2026 will be a better year, have you listed, with clarity, focus, and belief, EXACTLY what you mean by 'better'?

If you haven't yet set your theme for 2026, it means you have no real intent, clarity, focus, or belief, and that means that taking the correct action is going to be more difficult, if not impossible.

What I know for sure is that succeeding in the areas above will be so much easier if you have someone 'in your corner'. Someone to keep you accountable, and 'on track'. Someone you can use as a sounding block.

Rereading a recent Tony Robbins blog highlighted the parallel between business, leadership, and health.

Basically, what he was saying is 'Results follow psychology more than mechanics'.

In health optimisation, the internal operating system, typically referred to as mindset, determines whether the external plan is effective.

When stress physiology is high, consistency drops and progress stalls. Even with “perfect” strategies.

In this video, I outline the signals and the first stabilising step I use clinically. It’s practical, not theoretical.

If you lead teams or manage high responsibility roles, this matters. Wellbeing is a performance multiplier.

If you don't know where you are headed, how do you hope to ever get there?

How do you know where you are headed?

You create your vision map.

Then what?

Follow these 5 steps:

1. Become INSPIRED. Take some time to sit quietly. Yes, quietly. On your own. No distractions. AND THINK.

Think about what you want, think about what's important to you, think about where you have succeeded and where you haven't.

Create your vision map.

2. Build BELIEF. Amass the knowledge, and get the right people around you to help you.

3. Get CLARITY. Become laser-focused on your vision.

4. Develop FOCUS rituals. Keep your eye firmly on the road to success.

5. TAKE ACTION.

Helping individuals perfect this process has become one of my superpowers.
