I finished my self-portrait in time for the Pure Porterville Festival mosaic installation this weekend 1-3/10/21. It was made using ceramic shards and bits and bobs from potter/ceramicist John Bauer; white ceramic tile and stained glass on floor tile. 30cm x 40cm,
So grateful for this collaboration.

Local potter John Bauer has asked mosaic artists to create a self-portrait using his ceramic shards and bits and bobs. The final pieces will be used to cover a wall of The Mosaic House in Porterville, Western Cape during the Pure Porterville Festival in October.
This is my work in progress - I have never attempted portrait work before, let alone a self-portrait - and am finding it a fun challenge. I used ceramic wall tiles for my face, stained glass and glass tiles for my hair and eyes.
