If the Teacher stops growing today, they stop teaching tomorrow. Webova connects worlds to make schools more effective and relevant.
Operating as usual

Webova has been a little project that was concepted 7+ years ago and it’s just never really been nurtured into anything. If you know me personally, I have a hyperactive brain and struggle to get all my thoughts into a package. So now I’m taking a step and I hope it’s in the right direction! I love education, digital, safe spaces, learning, social emotional development. So this year among the various professional development avenues that I’ve pursued, becoming an accredited facilitator for Evergreen Parenting - Creative Christian Parenting has been something that I’ve achieved! My vision is that I will use this space to connect worlds. The education world, the parenting world, the digital world, and the psych-social world.

All human beings reflect this behaviour - young and old. We all need to be seen and heard.

“We need people who are good at asking the right questions. We need to develop the habit of asking probing, insightful questions that cause others to pause and think. We need to ask ourselves questions that invite reflection, interrogation and fan the flames of genuine curiosity.”

Tuesday's Tips The Flipped Classroom
Flip your classroom to make more time to assimilate content collaboratively

Teachers do have a new role and it is to develop independent and collaborative learners!

Education that places pressure on each individual to produce ideal outputs they were not involved in devising, creates a negative environment for all involved:
All tend to engage in shallow thinking as they simply aim for the target outcome, pre-designed by the system.
The feels stress and full responsibility over how they could possibly be expected to manage catering for all 3 situations, ‘good’, ‘average’, and ‘bad’ students in one room.
The worry about their child’s grades, while knowing that the world outside school is completely different with teams of people working on output together.
The suffers from becoming an environment where the teacher is the sole target audience and ideas and opinions from peers have less value. This can have the effect of making the room less busy, as students feel less empowered to make decisions about what opportunities might exist.
