Hello to you all who follows this page. I have no idea how to operate it properly....I'm.more of a people face to face person. 🤭❤️

Today, at one of my groups, we were making a mug cake. This time, following a recipe without my "interference" (we have done thos a few times). Initially we:
- watched videos
- researched good ingredients
- discussed the nutritional value
- chatted about how amazing it will be
- how we can adapt it

This is a result of our hard work. The beauty?

🥀turn taking and waiting (patients)
🥀communicating and concentrating
🥀our favourite term - executive functioning
🥀not everything was on the paper
🥀🙈I forgot an ingredient (on purpose - I made a mistake and that is OK - there's always a solution right? No need to panic!)
🥀dealing with frustration
🥀dealing with disappointment (2 of those cup cakes were truly not nice!)
🥀learning from our mistakes
🥀gross and fine motor skills development
🥀taste buds challenge

Try it! Let me know how you go. It takes time for the kids to make it independently but we will continue to practice some more

This is so spot on!!!Can you resonate? I'm.a giver and definitely my love language can be misunderstood. I love ppl and I love supporting ppl to achieve their dreams.

And we have done it again....Surf therapy....In Muizenberg. Check Roxy Davis Foundation for further details. This is what fills my cup. As a health and wellness coach working with peeps that are neurospicy with many complexities and peeps with dis-ABILITIES, I walk the talk. I learn every day and I'm always grateful for any of my clients or volunteers to take me on their journey towards independence, better health and wellness and skills development.
