This Women's Day, we're celebrating some of the young women in our alumni community who are studying STEM qualifications.

We're proud to have been part of their journey, and we can't wait to see the impact they'll make in the years ahead.

SAILI and our partner school, South Peninsula High School, were proud to host educators from the The NEA Foundation's 2026 Global Learning Fellowship during their visit to South Africa.

The Principal, Mrs Samsodien, spoke about the school’s journey and the work taking place within the school community. Our Head of Scholarships, Lana Baron, shared SAILI’s role as a scholarship organisation and the support we provide to learners.

During their visit, the Fellows spent time in classrooms, met with teachers and engaged with learners, gaining a glimpse into daily school life and the learning taking place.

It was a valuable opportunity to share experiences, exchange ideas and learn from one another across different educational contexts.

Thank you to the NEA Foundation and South Peninsula High School for being part of this global learning experience.

🌿 Learning beyond the classroom

During the school holidays, our Grade 8 learners spent a day at Nature Connect's Zeekoevlei Environmental Education Centre, exploring Ecology, Biodiversity and Sustainability.

The outing reinforced concepts they have been learning at school, giving learners the opportunity to experience science through hands-on activities and time in the natural environment.

It was a valuable opportunity to discover how science extends beyond the classroom and connects to the world around us.

A big thank you to Nature Connect for welcoming our learners and creating such an engaging learning experience.

330 Grade 7 learners gathered at Spine Road High School on Saturday, 30 May, to write Round 1 of this year's SAILI scholarship testing.

We are so thankful to the school for once again opening their doors and hosting our testing day with such warmth - it's the kind of partnership that makes days like this possible.

Shortlisted candidates will attend final interviews this Saturday, 4 July.

To every learner who wrote on the day - thank you for showing up and giving it your all.
