The first week of December was usually the annual King James Xmas party - a raucous affair with tequila & a dress-up theme. As the Atmosphere team, we had 2x YE parties - our second agency get-together was the “not-the-Xmas party” and a pool party at Nicola’s house. This year we gathered again -a mix of Atmospherians from more than a decade ago to the ones who are now with the big A. We braai’ed and chatted about the old days. And didn’t even get to the pool party bit.

We say goodbye to the Atmosphere page after two decades as our wonderful earned media team is now ensconced in the exciting new world of Accenture.

We are incredibly proud of our founder and boss lady Nicole Nel who recently received the 2023 PROI Founders Award from PROI Worldwide , a global partnership of independent communications agencies. Nicola was honoured for the incredible business she built and her extraordinary contribution to PROI and the communications landscape. As part of her award, PROI donated $1 000 to BEST College, a Cape Town school that educates street kids with learning disabilities from gang-infested neighbourhoods.

As part of her acceptance speech, Nicola said, "Let us continue to push boundaries, embrace innovation, and use the power of communication to make a positive difference in society."
