PARENTING TIP – SLEEP MANAGEMENT

Young children thrive on routine. A consistent, calming bedtime routine helps their bodies and brains recognise when it’s time to sleep. A child should be sleeping for at least 8 hours per night.
Here are some tips for a good bedtime routine:
- Set a fixed bedtime (even on weekends).
- Start a 30-minute wind-down routine before bed: bath, put on pyjamas and read a book.
- Limit exposure to electronic devices especially before bed time.
- Keep the routine consistent.
If your child resists bedtime routines, use a visual schedule or bedtime chart. This gives them a sense of control and makes bedtime feel like a structured process rather than a demand.

The big birds fly,
While down in the nest,
The little birds rest.

There is so much to learn.
Let's start that now with this week's Activity Cards."
