The U13A Hockey team enjoyed a Monday Night Lights Bish/Bosch Derby

As part of our Book Week 📚📖celebrations, our boys dressed up as idioms and did an amazing job bringing these expressions to life. From "raining cats and dogs" to "a chip on my shoulder", the costumes were clever, colourful, and full of personality.

Congratulations to our U13A hockey team who won the prestigious Belgotex Co-Ed Cup this weekend after beating De Hoop in the final. They played outstanding hockey in a hotly-contested tournament, despite the sometimes challenging weather conditions.

Our Grade N and R boys loved welcoming their grandparents and special people to school on Friday morning! They enjoyed a lovely tea, proudly showed them around their classrooms and shared a few special songs. A truly wonderful morning celebrating the special people in their lives!

🎶 Our Bishops Prep small ensembles enjoyed a wonderful shared concert with Herschel Prep this morning. Thank you to Herschel for inviting us. Our Grade 7 Vocal Ensemble, Flute Ensemble, Brass Ensemble and Senior String Ensemble represented Bishops Prep with excellence, flying the flag high and making us incredibly proud. 🌟

A special thank you to Herschel Prep's choir, who delighted us with two beautiful songs. What a wonderful celebration of young musical talent! 🎵

Thanks to the boys who helped load the huge number of lunch bags filled with sandwiches for donation to the various schools and organisations. They were received very gratefully!

As part of our Mandela Day celebrations today, the boys made sandwiches and packed these into specially decorated paper bags along with a piece of fruit and a sweet treat for their 67 minutes of service. These will be donated to the Lelieblom Children’s Home and Edenvale Primary School who are very excited to receive them and hand them out to their communities! Thanks to the parents for sending all the bread, spreads, fruit and sweets. Your contributions are very much appreciated!

Congratulations to Ethan Mills and Scott van Coeverden de Groot (Grade 5) on their outstanding achievement at this year's South African U11 Interprovincial Squash Tournament in George and Mossel Bay.

Representing Western Province, Scott and Ethan proudly contributed to their team’s bronze medal performance against the country’s top junior players.

A memorable highlight of the tournament was the opportunity as juniors to compete on the All Glass Court, specially installed at the Mossel Bay Town Hall, ahead of the elite Growthpoint Jarvis Caplan Tournament. Playing on a court typically reserved for professional events, with matches live-streamed to spectators, was an invaluable experience that both boys embraced with confidence and composure.

We are incredibly proud of Ethan and Scott for representing Western Province and Bishops with distinction. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement boys!
