When learning goes beyond the classroom walls.

​Over the weekend, one of our 4-year-old berries was at the beach, diligently picking up litter from the ocean & carrying it back to her mom. Every single time she brought something over, she said:

​“Mommy, this is making planet Earth unhappy. We must throw it in the bin.”

​When her mom, completely amazed, asked where she learned this, her response was instant:

​“My teacher Rachel, mommy.”

​As a principal, hearing stories like this truly melts my heart. It is the ultimate proof that our little ones aren't just hearing the lessons—they are embodying them, caring for the world around them, & putting values into action.

A certificate is a wonderful reminder of what we've learnt… but for us, this represents the beginning of a partnership that we hope will change lives. 💙

This Certificate of Attendance represents something far greater for CMWSA.

Recently, members of our team attended Cloudberry's Neurodiversity in Early Childhood Education workshop. While we left with new knowledge, we also left with something even more valuable—a potential partnership with an incredible organisation that shares our heart for supporting children and families.

Meeting the passionate husband-and-wife team behind Cloudberry was truly inspiring. Their knowledge of neurodiverse children and adults, combined with their unwavering commitment to creating a place where everyone belongs, is remarkable.

Like many organisations doing incredible work, they face challenges. Their dream is to build a second classroom, create a dedicated play area, and expand their facilities so they can support even more children.

At CMWSA, we don't just want to admire their work—we want to help make those dreams a reality.

Once our current fundraiser has concluded, we'll be exploring ways to support Cloudberry, including:
🏗️ Connecting them with builders who may be able to assist on a pro bono basis.
💙 Helping develop fundraising initiatives.
🤝 Building a long-term partnership that creates lasting impact.

This workshop wasn't just about learning—it was about discovering another organisation that is changing lives every day.

We look forward to walking this journey together and sharing it with all of you.

Our 2-3 year old class just unlocked a major toddler power-up: independent glue stick usage! Glueing might seem simple, but for a toddler, it's a total brain & body workout.

​Here’s the incredible developmental progress happening behind every sticky craft:

​- Fine Motor Strength & Grip: Twisting the stick, pulling off the cap, & applying just the right amount of pressure builds the exact finger muscles needed later for writing.

-Bilateral Coordination: Holding the paper steady with one hand while applying glue with the other takes serious two-brained coordination!

- Hand-Eye Coordination & Spatial Awareness: Aiming for the paper (& actually hitting it instead of the table) takes incredible visual focus.

- Impulse Control & Motor Planning: Learning not to crush the glue stick or push it all the way out requires patience, self-regulation, & multi-step planning.

- Pure Independence: Doing it "all by myself!" builds confidence that carries over into everything else they try.
